With a wide variety of particle sizes from 2.5 µm to 10 µm and C18 and C8 column chemistries, SunFire columns offer greater flexibility in selecting silica-based HPLC columns. For preparative applications, SunFire silica is available in 5 and 10 µm particle sizes.
SunFire Chromatography Columns provide symmetrical peak shapes for improved resolution. With new bonding and endcapping technologies, they offer exceptional efficiency for acid, neutral, and basic compounds at low and intermediate pH ranges. SunFire columns are packed with state-of-the-art silica and new proprietary C18 and C8 bonding and endcapping for high efficiency, resulting in greater sensitivity. SunFire columns are compatible with mass spectrometry applications, providing sharp peaks, high sensitivity, large peak capacities and very low bleed. Chromatography column lifetime is improved through superior low pH stability compared to many silica HPLC column brands.

SunFire Prep Columns, exhibit excellent column life and stability due to the OBD design, as well as excellent peak shapes and high mass loading. SunFire Prep silica particles have been intentionally synthesized to deliver high mass loadability under acidic to moderate pH mobile phase conditions. The high mass loading of SunFire materials facilitates the use of smaller preparative column dimensions. By increasing the sample load, SunFire may provide increased sensitivity when detecting and quantifying low levels of analytes, impurities and degradants.
SunFire normal-phase silica columns purify analytes that cannot be separated in reversed-phase liquid chromatography, such as highly hydrophilic analytes, analytes that are unstable in water. They offer:
